Dorance Thompson, presenting the Utilities Committee report, told the council the village pulled well #1 for inspection and "found that there was an electrical issue within the well casing which was fixed and the well has been put back to service." Thompson also reported the water-plant aerator motor failed and Global Electric installed a replacement, and crews located a leak at the intersection of N. Waverly and E. Sugar that is currently draining into a storm tile but will be excavated and repaired in the coming weeks.
Thompson added that village crews dug and repaired a 12-inch storm tile along Dixie Highway. The report did not include a cost estimate for the repairs; council did not raise additional questions in the minutes. The village engaged Bierly Well Drilling for the well inspection and Global Electric for the aerator motor replacement.
