Ogden police report 85 calls, new patrol truck and planned W Elm traffic study

Police Chief Ethan Bailey briefed the council on public-safety activity and equipment updates at the July 14 meeting.
Chief Bailey said there had been 85 calls for service since the last report, that "the new truck was delivered, and the new decals were done in time for the Fun Days parade," and that deputies conducted a traffic stop at Fun Days that resulted in an OWI. He also reported he upgraded an eight-year-old computer. Chief Bailey said he will conduct a traffic study in the 300 block of W Elm this summer and again in the fall while school is in session to inform potential traffic-control decisions.
