The Scott County coroner asked the commission for an additional appropriation of $2,000 to cover a repair bill and to avoid depleting the office’s maintenance funds. The coroner reported the repair bill at approximately $2,100 and said the office had about $1,900 in the line, which would leave no maintenance funds for the remainder of the year if not addressed.
On motion (mover and seconder recorded in the minutes) the board approved the additional appropriation unanimously. Commissioners noted the request had been described in public hearing earlier in the meeting and that the appropriation would cover the immediate repair needs.
The chair closed the item after the vote and the coroner thanked the board.
