Midvale City Council on April 15 approved Resolution No. 2025-R-20 authorizing the mayor to enter into a three-year Small Enterprise Agreement (SEA) with ESRI to upgrade the City’s geographic information system (GIS) software and services. Mariah Hill said the current ESRI services are being phased out and the SEA provides broader employee access, training, and support for mapping and spatial analysis.
The fiscal impact stated in the staff report is $122,700 for three years ($40,900 annually). Staff noted ESRI is the sole provider for the City’s existing GIS platform and that the FY2025 budget allocated funds for the upgrade. Council voted to suspend the rules and approve the agreement unanimously.
