Team Peace describes school-based prevention programming funded by county substance-prevention fund

Cara also described a Team Peace Ambassador Program with roughly 110 student ambassadors and three summer camps (Art of Emotions, girls confidence and leadership, and a new bike camp). She asked the commissioners for letters of recommendation if Team Peace seeks funding or expansion to nearby counties. “We provided programming to more than 2,050 students, through weekly and biweekly lessons in 7 schools,” Cara said. Commissioners expressed support and asked staff to provide any helpful letters when the organization pursues expansion funding.
