Business Administrator Scott McMillan told trustees capital revenue appears about $1,600,000 over budget on the district's accounting due to financing and reimbursement timing related to the welding shop project, but he cautioned that the figure will straighten out as loans are closed and reimbursements are recorded.
"If you look at the capital revenue, we're about 1,600,000 over budget on that, and that's as we're constructing the welding shop," McMillan said, explaining the district has financing in place and will reconcile the reimbursement at year-end. He also reported that the gym interior is painted and hardware installation is in progress, flooring is expected soon, MacBooks for juniors have been delivered in advance of ACT testing, and playground surface upgrades (pour-in-place foam) will be done this summer to address ADA compliance at Mountain Green Elementary.
