Moab adopts FY 2026–2027 strategic plan with tweaks to active transportation and downtown goals

Strategic Initiatives & Sustainability Director Alexi Lamm introduced Sustainability and Grant Coordinator Val Villeux and presented the proposed FY 2026–2027 strategic plan. Council discussed specific additions and instructed modifications including adding safety enhancements to active transportation goals, adding adoption of a downtown plan to downtown goals and initiating conversations on an updated general plan.
Councilmember Colin Topper moved to approve Resolution 05‑2026 adopting the strategic plan with the discussed modifications; Councilmember Kaitlin Myers seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Council did not set a timeline for the general plan update during this meeting; staff will reflect the instructed changes in the final adopted document.
