The Morgan County School District board voted to adopt the LETRS (Arts and Letters) language-arts curriculum for Mount Green Middle School during its June meeting.
A board member moved the recommendation from the superintendent and a second followed. "I move that we approve the arts and letters language and arts curriculum," the board member said before the motion was seconded and the president called the question. The motion carried by voice vote.
Board members present said they were reassured by teacher involvement in the review and by follow-up committee diligence. There was no substantive public comment during the action item. The board’s approval concludes the formal adoption step; implementation and classroom rollout will be coordinated by district instructional staff and building principals.
