The Midvale City Planning & Zoning Commission on Oct. 8, 2025, voted unanimously to recommend approval of the Transportation Connectivity element of the general plan after a presentation by Tyler Smithson, project manager with Parametrix. Commissioner Shane Liedtke moved to recommend approval; Vice Chair Candice Erickson seconded. The roll call vote was Yes from Chair Robyn Anderson, Vice Chair Erickson, and Commissioners Snow, Liedtke and Edwards.
Staff recommended approval on the finding that the plan complies with Utah Code 10‑9a‑403 and Senate Bill 195. Tyler Smithson said the plan is organized into six categories and that project selection was based on an impediment analysis, steering committee recommendations, prior feasibility studies, available funding opportunities and each project's potential to enhance the health, safety and welfare of Midvale residents and visitors. No public comments were offered during the hearing.
