He explained that MySchoolBox will deduct the platform fees from payments before remitting funds to the district, and the district proposes capturing that cost inside the extended day program budget rather than passing it to families. "Essentially, what they will do is when they send us some money from the payments that are made, they'll just deduct the costs that the families would have paid, from our revenue," Dr. Reese said.
The committee did not take a separate vote on fee treatment; Dr. Reese said the district will monitor program revenues to ensure extended day operations remain fiscally positive under the approach and report back if adjustments are needed.
