During its Feb. 11 meeting, the Sioux Rapids City Council approved a $2,500 payment to T.P. Anderson & Company for the second part of the annual exam and approved a $4,170 payment to SEH (Short Elliott Hendrickson) for USDA grant administrative engineering work. Councilmember Lacy Garberding moved to approve the T.P. Anderson payment; Mike Gunderson moved approval of SEH’s invoice.
Council also voted to deny or withhold payment to CMBA Architects in the amount of $10,161.25 "until agreement to be amended" and to withhold $43,707.66 due to Graves Construction for the Sioux Rapids Health Clinic until more information is gathered. Kevin Thompson moved to deny payment to CMBA and Garberding moved to deny payment to Graves; both motions were seconded and carried unanimously. The meeting record does not specify the contractual issues or required documentation prompting the withholdings.
