Council pays fire protection agency for rent and missed annual share

The council on Dec. 11 approved a $1,000 payment to the Sioux Rapids Fire Protection Agency for rent of a temporary office for December (motion by Mike Gunderson, seconded by Todd Reiling). The motion passed with all members present voting aye and one member absent.
In a separate motion, council approved $1,134.80 to cover the city's share of the Fire Protection Agency annual billing that had been missed; Joel McCoy moved and Mike Gunderson seconded. Both motions were recorded as carried (Ayes: all; Absent: Lacy Garberding).
