Colin Poff, DCD planning supervisor, presented the proposed 2025 Administrative Code Edits. Chair Alan Beam moved that the commission consider the edits by paragraph and recommend adoption to the Board of County Commissioners.
Commissioner Richard Shattuck moved and the commission approved an amendment to KCC 17.110.670 to add clarifying language into the definition of "School." The motion recorded the amended code text: "KCC 17.110.670 'School' means an institution primarily engaged in teaching and learning, operated by a public school district, nonprofit organization, or a private organization (such as a Montessori or Waldorf school). Business and trade schools and outdoor schools are included, as are satellite buildings of higher education colleges." The amendment passed by unanimous vote, and the commission then approved the full 2025 Administrative Code Edits as amended by unanimous vote.
