Several administrative and routine items were approved with unanimous votes. Building Inspector Anna Penola requested and received approval to purchase a used 2023 Ford Maverick for $25,000 to replace an assigned city vehicle; Mayor Dana Holbrook and councilmembers supported the upgrade.
Cliff Eklund recommended Samantha Kent for appointment to the Equestrian Park Board in light of recruitment challenges and her volunteer work at the Tomera Ranch Rodeo; the council unanimously appointed Kent. The council also unanimously approved meeting minutes for June 11, 2025, and city expenditures between July 24 and August 13, 2025. City Manager Richard Braithwaite reported a new Public Works vacancy and said hiring would proceed without formal council action.
