Braithwaite noted the parcel had been appraised at $156,000, highlighting the discount offered. Lyndsie Whigham questioned whether a warehouse-style use justified selling below appraised value. After discussion, Kinney moved to reject the offer; the council voted unanimously to do so.
No alternative sale terms were adopted at the meeting; staff will continue to review proposals and retain discretion to seek offers that better align with economic-development objectives.
