The board granted signing authority to staff to finalize a utility easement and temporary construction easement with Citizens Energy Group for a central feeder main project intended to improve redundancy and add water supply west of the city. John Nail, executive chief of operations, said the city owns one parcel near 169th Street that CEG needs to acquire an easement from and requested authority to sign once CEG completes legal revisions.
Nail told the board the easement supports a water main project and noted there is "a little bit of legal revision that needs to happen from CEG," which is why staff sought signing authority. The motion passed by voice vote, allowing staff to finalize the document after CEG completes its revisions and legal review.
