The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners approved a four‑item consent agenda Aug. 20 covering transit, IT, ARPA and surplus items.
County manager Martin presented the consent package, which included a request for Cherokee Area Transit Service (CATS) to update its Title VI plan; an IT department request to renew a Windstream agreement for wide area network and phone services and add a redundant connection at the E911 backup center for three years; an amendment to a Must Ministries ARPA subrecipient agreement for $50,000 to support transitional housing; and a request from the conference center to surplus certain patio furniture and a piano. Commissioner Carter moved to approve the consent agenda and the motion carried unanimously.
Board members briefly noted the piano was in poor condition and that the ARPA amendment supports transitional housing, but no item was pulled for separate discussion.
