Mr. Bakker told the board the finance committee met April 15 to review fiscal year‑to‑date performance through the third quarter and said, 'Actual spending is at about 75% of the fiscal year to date budget.' He reported Wendell had moved $20,000 from the printing budget to the supply budget so staff could place orders before the fiscal year ended, and that the committee's forecast for the remainder of the year is to be at budget.
On FY26 budget submittal, Mr. Bakker said he'd received feedback from the CFO indicating two small adjustments: a reduction in non‑capital equipment from $12,000 to $7,000 and a reduction in repairs from $3,500 to $1,000, for a net production change of $7,500 in the draft. He told the board the first reading of the county's FY26 budget will be May 12 and that the committee will monitor further changes from administration before finalization.
