Founder Doug Dean pledges continuing commitment, says center needs roughly $100,000–$120,000 in improvements

Doug Dean, a cofounder of Cordele Incorporated, told attendees he intends to commit personal time and funds to sustain and improve the center.
"I'm committed to this community," Dean said, noting his motivation includes his five-year-old son and other family ties. He listed capital projects that remain on the near-term list and estimated a need of "about a 100, a $120,000" to finish several projects, including improved surveillance cameras and sanctuary renovations.
Dean said the center already provides daily services—free thrift store, arcade activities and youth programming—and that community volunteers and partners will help run operations. He did not announce formal grants or municipal funding at the ceremony.
