Staff identified eligible projects including rehabilitation of nine existing groundwater wells, replacement of approximately 50,000 linear feet of water transmission lines, aeration improvements at Water Plant Number 1 to improve water quality, and installation of recirculation lines at Water Plant Number 3 to improve system efficiency. Staff said the application would require no local match if awarded and that the board would determine the award amount. Council moved, seconded and approved the resolution to proceed with the application.
