Project Graduation organizers thank volunteers and donors, seek more community support

Sonia Cruz, Project Graduation coordinator, addressed the board to thank volunteers, donors and school staff for supporting Project Graduation and listed donors including municipal alliance, the John Elliott Foundation and local businesses.
"We have a list of people that to thank, and I think publicly I would like to do that," Cruz said, recounting the event's history and noting that next year (2027) would mark the program's 34th year. She told the board the volunteer committee agreed to stay on for five more years and asked for public help in filling volunteer roles.
Cruz and a resident, Amber Umflitt, also praised custodial staff and school administration for logistical support during the event. The board acknowledged the volunteers and thanked Project Graduation for its work in keeping graduation activities safe for students.
