Trustees discussed changing the monthly meeting date from the 2nd Thursday to the 2nd Wednesday because of room availability and scheduling conflicts with other county boards. The board agreed to try the 4th Wednesday in September (Sept. 23) and will email options for November; staff cautioned that the change requires a bylaw amendment and a vote after a trial period.
Staff reminded trustees about open-meeting email practice and public-notice requirements: agendas must be posted at least 48 hours in advance. "Just remember that you have to send out the agenda 48 hours in advance to the public," a staff member said. The board directed staff to circulate date options and prepare the bylaw-change language for consideration at a future meeting.
