The Lee County Board approved a resolution appointing Amy Neuchill as county supervisor of assessments.
Neuchill introduced herself to the board, saying she is a Dixon resident who has worked in real estate for more than 10 years, served as a title searcher and examiner for over six years and has been with Lee County for more than four years. She told the board she is a certified Illinois assessment officer and that she took and passed the supervisor test so she could assume the new role. Neuchill introduced members of her assessment staff and said her office will need to hire to fill positions she currently holds: "We're replacing me," she said, explaining that many of her duties involve specialized mapping and legal‑description work.
Following introductions and brief questions from board members, the chair called for the vote; those present signified "aye" and the chair said the motion carried.
