Manchester branch reopens; circulation back to pre-closing levels

The Manchester branch of the Coffee County Library is back to regular hours and seeing patrons return, the board heard. "We are back to regular hours at the library. Our circulation numbers are on par with our numbers pre closing," Paula said, welcoming the community’s renewed use of the facility.
Paula said staff began a small summer-reading program July 7 that runs through Aug. 3. She said registration papers will be tallied when returned and prizes awarded at the program’s conclusion. Trustees thanked Manchester staff for their work during the closure and reopening.
Polly (Manchester reporting) added that the branch received 22 boxes of books after reopening and that spending to meet maintenance-of-effort requirements was completed despite the months the branch was closed. The board did not take any further action; the reopening and service resumption will continue under routine oversight.
