Altamont police report enforcement activity, a donated radar trailer and plans for mobile speed signs

He also reported a donated nonworking radar trailer from Labette County Sheriff Eichinger that local LCHS electronics students will attempt to repair; if it cannot be fixed Shields said he is pursuing alternatives.
Shields said the department is working on two separate grants for equipment and mobile solar-powered speed-zone signs that can be moved throughout the community. He also noted the department’s role in the 21st Annual Kids Fishing Derby at Idle Hour/Altamont Lake on June 6.
