Utility staff reported operational and storm-repair activity to the council on July 9. Following storms on June 25–26, crews replaced a fuse on a three-phase bank cut-out, replaced a transformer and lightning arrestor and performed other high-voltage feeder repairs. Staff also investigated two gas leaks and coordinated with Altamont Police Department on roadblocks.
The report listed ongoing grounds maintenance—mowing city lagoons and ditches, blading alleys and lots—and equipment service work such as oil changes and mower repairs. Utility staff additionally assisted with installing the sound system at the Altamont swimming pool and prepared personnel paperwork and equipment testing (high-voltage gloves) as part of routine safety management.
No capital project approvals or large contract awards were recorded; the entry functioned as an operational update to council.
