Ben Coltrane, representing Midwest Engineering, and Austin Masters of the Midwest Assistance Program briefed the City Council on April 9 about funding options for phase one of a sanitary sewer line replacement.
Coltrane told the council the city "has been approved for SRF funding at the maximum amount but can accept only the amount needed." Masters outlined potential USDA funding pathways as an alternative or complement to SRF. Council recommended staff continue work with MAP to evaluate USDA options and finalize a funding package that minimizes rate impacts to customers.
