Council reviewed the final draft of Hogansville’s comprehensive plan, described as a 20-year roadmap for projects and development. The plan has been reviewed and approved by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) and the Three Rivers Regional Commission; DCA requested a clarification about anticipated project costs.
Because the adoption deadline is Oct. 31, 2025, council agreed to add a resolution to adopt the plan to the current meeting’s agenda so the city can meet that deadline. The minutes note the plan will be reviewed every five years and can be amended as the city's needs change.
