Oxford approves $6,892 transfer switch purchase for pump station

Commissioners authorized purchasing a replacement transfer switch for a pump station at a cost of $6,892.60.
Holly, the town manager, explained the existing transfer switch had stopped working and that without the replacement the station would require manual transfer to generator power during outages. "This replaces that board so that it'll automatically, in the case of a power outage, the pump station will transfer generated power for critical services," Holly said. The motion to approve procurement was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
