Staff told the hearing that Beverly emailed owner Justin Walker and realtor Ignacio Barsatelli on Oct. 14 informing them that "a permit is required for the signs located on the property" and later posted a Notice of Violation on Jan. 14, 2026 (initial compliance date Jan. 29). Certified mail to the owner was signed for on Feb. 2, 2026. At the hearing staff recommended compliance by March 5, 2026, and a $50-per-day fine not to exceed $20,000 if the owner failed to correct the violation; the magistrate ordered compliance by March 12 and set a return hearing on March 25, 2026.
The Chair noted property listings on Zillow dating to Sept. 2024 and asked whether the sign had been in place that long; staff said the current owner (identified in notices as Justin Walker) likely purchased the property after that listing and the signs have been in place only a few months. No public comments were offered on the item.
