The board approved a motion to request permission to advertise for paper and non-food items for the food-service program. In advance of that item the Director (S6) highlighted operational improvements and praised food-service supervisor Christy McNabb for bringing the food-service fund-transfer needs down from roughly $300,000 last year to about $60,000 this year.
"I want to applaud you," the Director said of the supervisor's work, noting vendor changes and tighter inventory controls. Board members agreed the procurement item and the recognition were appropriate; the motion to advertise passed on a roll call.
