Andrew Snyder appointed to Upper Macungie Board after public interviews

The Upper Macungie Township Board of Supervisors appointed Andrew (Andy) Snyder to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Julian Godbars. The motion to appoint Snyder was made and seconded; the board voted in favor by voice vote.
Snyder, a longtime township resident who serves on the zoning hearing board and the township task force, told supervisors he has 20-plus years of local involvement and professional project-management experience. Board members said they weighed candidatesexperience, knowledge of township processes, volunteer service and capacity to learn quickly before picking Snyder.
Chair announced the motion and called for the vote: "All those in favor ... signify by saying aye," the board recorded; the motion passed. The appointee will serve until the first Monday in January following the November 2027 municipal election and must complete required disclosure filings, the board said.
