Board members moved and seconded a proposal to distribute excess 12-mill sales-tax checks to full-time employees for the 2026–27 year. Committee member (S3) introduced the motion: "I'll make a motion, that, we consider approval to distribute excess sales tax checks, 12 mil checks, for the 2627 school year to all full time employees." The motion proceeded to roll-call vote and the board approved the measure.
During discussion members reiterated that employee communication is critical if revenues decline and the district may need to limit eligibility. Administrators said using a portion of sales-tax receipts to protect the general fund is under consideration and staff will publish disbursement timing and eligibility.
