Board members reviewed guidance from the governor's office on a one-time stipend and voted to include the payment framework in the 2026–27 salary schedule. The Director (S6) told the board the executive guidance allows districts flexibility on eligibility and timing: "it's at the bottom to 1 time $2,000 for certificate and 1 time for support for the 2627 fiscal year," S6 said, adding that the district had previously extended similar payments to broad employee categories.
Members said employees should be informed early if local revenue problems force the district to narrow eligibility, and the board approved a motion to accept the stipend guidance. The board also discussed using portions of existing local sales-tax receipts to protect the general fund while continuing support payments when possible.
