Superintendent: appeal for Title I denied; district awarded Title II–IV funding

Superintendent Diane DiGiosepi told the board that the district did not receive Title I entitlement funding and that an appeal was denied. "My appeal was officially denied," DiGiosepi said. The district did, however, receive funds in Title II, Title III and Title IV that total approximately $35,000 to support professional development.
DiGiosepi said she is preparing the consolidated ESSA grant application, which is due on July 31, and will use awarded Title II–IV funds toward the district's professional development priorities. The board did not take an additional vote on grant strategy in this meeting but the administration said it will finalize and submit the application by the deadline.
