Streets Supervisor Bob Phillips reported the 24‑inch clay tile had failed and engineers recommended replacing the damaged tile, reconnecting pipes, installing a larger catch basin next to the sinkhole and replacing approximately 10 feet of pipe. A second estimate from McLallen Construction was $23,450; both bids required the borough to provide a truck for the work. Councilor Steadman moved, and Councilor Osborn seconded, to hire Mansfield; the motion carried unanimously.
