Staff member said the application assumes at least 21 homes must be served and that, with current allocations, the construction budget works out to roughly $60,000 per house at 21 homes, though individual homes may vary (some $20,000, some $30,000 or $40,000). Staff said the typical new-construction timeframe is about 3–4 months.
The committee discussed that only a minority of households historically use temporary-relocation funds and that staff may seek board approval to reallocate leftover temporary-relocation funds into construction near the end of the project. "If we go over on anything... I'll bring it before the board and get approval to go over that," Staff member said.
