Council discussion focused on removing a restriction that would bar members from serving as officers for more than two consecutive terms and on changing term-length language. Council members discussed language to read, "Upon completion of the initial term, all regular terms shall be three years, all alternate terms shall be one year," language that was raised for clarity during the discussion. The Town Attorney cautioned that a first reading is not a final adoption and said the ordinance will return next month for final action.
