Council approves consent agenda; city reports full-time clerk hire

The council approved the consent agenda on Feb. 10, covering meeting minutes (Jan. 6 and Jan. 13), January police reports and stats, Aurora Fire District logs and the January check register/cash sheet. The motion to approve was made by Council President Jan Olsen, seconded by Councilor Michael Coffman, and passed 6-0-0.
In his City Manager report, Eric Underwood said the city is now fully staffed after hiring Cecilia Hassel as a full-time City Clerk following a competitive process. Public Works Director Alonso Limones also raised the need for fiber internet at the Public Works office and discussed a water shutoff at a residence due to a large leak; the mayor and manager said they would discuss how best to handle that situation.
