During the mayor's report the chair briefed the council on current projects and small grants. He said the Columbia Gas project is progressing on schedule and that a water and sewer project on Wind Street is expected to finish once a small additional flowable fill is placed. “They've now moved, off North Maysville Road… They're over in the Harrison Avenue, Queen Street area now,” the chair said.
The chair also reported the TAP‑3 sidewalk project is complete and the state has been notified. He thanked members who participated in the facade grant award process; the council approved six awards totaling $8,316 to local businesses to improve storefronts.
