On July 13 the Eden Plus City Council adopted Ordinance 2841, the first budget amendment for fiscal 2026. Finance Director Kristen Reed told council she made small changes between the first and second reading, including adding an additional $35,000 to purchase two digital reader boards; the cost will be allocated to the street fund under the city’s IT funding percentages.
Reed also said the amendment reduces the Facilities Fund (Fund 35) reserve balance below the city’s reserve policy. Committee members reported full support for the amendment and Reed was available to answer questions; the council moved, seconded and adopted Ordinance 2841 on second reading.
The amendment reconciles estimated and actual beginning fund balances and moves amounts to estimated ending fund balances as described in the ordinance title read on the record.
