Student representatives spotlight athletics, academics and community service across Toms River high schools

Student representatives from the district's three high schools delivered reports highlighting recent achievements and upcoming events.
Michaela Milanak (Toms River High School East) told the board about school spirit activities, staff promotions, and multiple swimming records including an updated 100-yard butterfly time (54.89 seconds) and relay records. "Overall, East continues to be a place where students lift each other up," Milanak said.
Alicia Lobello (Toms River High School North) reported successes in track and field and performing arts, and said the school's National Honor Society donated $2,800 in toys to the Salvation Army over the holidays. "Our National Honor Society gave back to the community with their toy drive," Lobello said.
Makayla Mansey (Toms River High School South) reviewed recent concerts, spirit competitions and strong athletic showings across sports, and reminded the community of upcoming senior events and fundraisers. Each student representative closed by thanking the board for the opportunity to speak.
