District says I-Ready and IXL midyear diagnostics show solid growth; intervention targets set

Curriculum staff told the board diagnostic results indicate positive midyear progress and described how the district uses those diagnostics for targeted intervention. At the high-school level, staff reported IXL growth measured in points: “our grade 9 students made a 103 of growth on average,” and grade 10 averaged about 85 points. Staff described a K–8 math intervention program for students three or more grade levels behind and said teachers use program tutorials and targeted small groups to accelerate progress ahead of NJSLA and other year-end assessments.
