Planner notes and the Planning Commission’s 07/06/2026 favorable recommendation were read into the record; conditions include a performance bond or escrow to cover installation costs and one year of maintenance and a recorded operation and maintenance agreement for privately owned stormwater facilities. Councilmember Liz Meeley asked for clarification on landscaping and species notation in the plans; staff responded that plantings appear on the plan but species weren’t specified and that the city’s typical landscaping requirements would apply. The council approved the plan by voice vote, 5–0.
Council members said the parent pickup loop and safety improvements should reduce pedestrian risk at the neighborhood school.
