Staff presented a Clean and Beautiful FY 2027 grant award of $10,296.41 and described intended uses: additional dog-waste stations at Rotary Park, a bottle-refill station by the skate park and another downtown, two recycled picnic tables at Veterans Memorial Park and one at the sports complex, and funding to support the Levitt concert series. Staff said the city will provide a 25% match in in-kind services and partner with Main Street on community cleanups to meet the match requirement.
A commissioner asked about metrics for refill-station use and staff said anecdotal collection during community cleanups showed fewer plastic bottles after installation, but staff had no hard usage count yet. The commission approved executing the grant agreement.
