The Ashland City Council voted unanimously to authorize the mayor to sign an agreement with JEO Consulting Group Inc. for the Ashland Stormwater GIS Mapping Project, including optional services for the Iron Horse Special Improvement District, in the amount of $54,800. The motion was made by Council Member Jim Pinkman and seconded by Council Member Jake Crnkovich; the roll call was recorded as "Ayes: All."
Julie Ogden of JEO told the council the work could cover about 385 storm sewer structures within current city limits (Option 1) and that including the Iron Horse SID (Option 2) would be more efficient while surveyors are on site. Ogden said surveyors are expected to start in one to two weeks, will spend about a month gathering field data, and that mapped data delivery is targeted on or before February 1, 2027. The contract amount approved at the meeting is $54,800 and the agreement will be posted as part of city records.
