Council agrees to cosponsor October cultural festival planned by local family

Calero said his children have been running a lemonade operation for about three years and the family would like to bring the community together for music, food and vendor booths.
Council asked for location details and learned the event is planned for Williamson Park from noon to 6 p.m.; council also confirmed the cosponsorship vote did not include a specific funding appropriation in the meeting packet. The motion to cosponsor the event passed unanimously, 8–0.
Council members encouraged coordination with the school and other community organizations to broaden participation and suggested festival organizers touch base with borough staff regarding permits and logistics.
The mover and second were recorded during the consent/action sequence; staff will follow up on permit details and vendor coordination with the organizers.
