Board ratifies Dove Creek Ambulance Board appointments to satisfy DOLA request

Dolores County staff told the commissioners that the county needed a written resolution to satisfy the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) after appointments to the Dove Creek Ambulance Board were made on Nov. 24. "This resolution, is only a confirmation and ratifying of the November 24 vote," a staff member said, explaining DOLA had requested a written record.
Commissioners discussed the legal and procedural purpose of the document and agreed that the written resolution would not change the underlying appointments but would satisfy DOLA and reduce the risk of dissolution for the ambulance district. The board moved to adopt Resolution 12-25-18, the appointing resolution for the Dove Creek Ambulance Board of Directors; commissioners voted in favor during the meeting.
