A staff member presenting the social services update told the board that November 2025 expenditures left protective services and family-administration lines overextended. The staff member said the county expects an allocation that arrives in July and that the fund balance should cover current overexpenditures. "We are overextended in our protective services as well as our family administration lines," the staff member said.
The staff member also noted receipt of a state RFI related to district meeting implementation and said the timeline for the first phase of implementation has been extended to 2027 (staff cited July or December 2027 as potential milestones). The presenter offered to email commissioners the RFI and a summary of workflow numbers for further review; commissioners requested the document or a summary to inform future implementation discussions.
