Township outlines road, park upkeep and oil‑and‑chip preparations for summer

Road Master Matt Henderson gave a month‑in‑review and a plan for June: May work included widening Stoney Ridge Road, replacement of two of three pipes on Ontelaunee Road, hauling blacktop to Weisenberg Community Center, completing township mowing and patching Springhouse Road. June tasks include finishing Springhouse and Hamm Court, prepping the Gun Club area for oil and chip, helping Weisenberg with oil and chip, and replacing additional pipes on Ontelaunee and on Behler Road.
Park work reported by Henderson includes daily mowing, a bandshell sealer coat (another coat planned when weather permits), tree removal and plans for sealcoating and crack sealing of parking areas; the board approved a park rental for Sept. 12 for the lower pavilion and bandshell with no wine or alcohol allowed. Henderson also noted he parked a truck at the park to facilitate brush removal after a June 6 cleanup; Kathryn Townsend agreed to arrange pickup.
